Prince was a prolific American artist who achieved 7 Grammy Awards and gave us 40 albums with evergreen songs. He was mainly known for his singing, but the singer also acted in 4 movies.

He presented his generation with countless hit songs. His original name was Prince Rogers Nelson. The celebrity left the planet forever in 2016 when he was only 57.

He gained global popularity with meaningful lyrics, melodic composition, and charming voice. There were many things fans couldn’t make it to know about him.

Most of them wanted to know if was Prince gay or bisexual. What was the Grammy winner’s sexuality? Prince was straight; however, you might have heard he is gay.

So, why was he thought gay when he wasn’t a homosexual? Let’s find out the answers by discovering him better.

Was Prince Gay, Or Was He Bisexual?

Prince’s sexuality has been questioned ever since he shared his thoughts about abortion and gay marriage with Claire Hoffman, a writer for the New Yorker.

In 2008 Hoffman reported Prince answered his questions regarding abortion and homosexual marriage, saying, “God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.'”

He made people think of him as a hom*ph*be by giving this little speech. It is clear he agrees with the bible, and since it doesn’t support homosexuality, he also doesn’t.

Of course, it’s ridiculous to call someone gay for supporting his religion. The pop started to believe in his beliefs strictly, so when he was again asked about homosexuality by Joe Jervis, he reported that Prince got offended and started to hate them.

Joe Jervis reported, “The pop star who made his name on his effete, androgynous ‘Is he GAY or not?’ persona – now he hates us.”

Hence, “Prince is gay” is a horrible calumny. Prince’s sexuality was not only straight, but he was also a celebrity who hated homosexuality.

Prince’s Wives

Since the pop singer Prince was straight, he had wives. He married twice in his lifetime. His first wife was Mayte Garcia and after divorcing Mayte he married Manuela Testolini.

Prince also dated several big-name divas. But we will look at his dating life later after knowing things about his marriage life.

Prince told ET about his wife’s pregnancy, “Going through my wife’s pregnancy had a really powerful effect on me. It just gave me the utmost respect for all women.”

Garcia gave birth to a boy, but sadly, the baby died 7 days after coming to earth. Prince got shocked, and this made him fall for another woman. The next year after losing their baby in 1998, Prince divorced Garcia.

In 2001 the singer got married once again to Manuela Teltolini. Ironically they couldn’t make their relationship last either. Manuela was the one who filed for separation. In 2006 finally, the couple got divorced.

Prince’s name was linked with several women. He was rumored to date Susan Moonsie, Vanity, Sheila E., Apollonia Kotero, Kim Basinger, Carmen Electra, Misty Copeland, Madonna, Nona Gaye, and Bria Valente. A guy having so many females in his life can never be gay.
